Fall Colours in South Tyrol

Magical colours in the Dolomites

When the days once again grow shorter, the Gsieser Tal offers you a unique play of colours. Beech and sycamore trees turn flaming red, the larches shine in their egg-yolk yellow, while the green alpine meadows harmonize wonderfully with the intense blue of our mostly cloudless sky in the high-contrast autumn light. Don’t miss out on the magic of this transformation. On your autumn holiday in the Pustertal region, you can enjoy a peaceful natural setting that offers active vacationers and leisure hikers the most diverse impressions.

Golden autumn in the mountains

With its mild temperatures, the fall in Gsies makes some summit attempts possible that were still sweaty affairs in the hot South Tyrolean summer. Up above, you will be rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view of the world of the Dolomites, which only the golden autumn can give us. Now is also the right time for easy walks over the alpine meadows from hut to hut and for visits to town. The sun no longer burns so brightly and immerses the mountain panorama in a magical light, especially in the evenings.

Törggelen in the Pustertal

Of course, here in South Tyrol, autumn is Törggelen time. Maybe you have already heard of this old custom that arose in the guesthouses of the Eisacktal, but which is also celebrated today in many other regions, such as the Pustertal, with young wine, roasted chestnuts, bacon, and South Tyrolean specialties. If you would like to spend your autumn holiday during Törggelen with us in St. Martin, we will gladly give you tips on where you can experience this yearly culinary highlight in the Pustertal in particularly beautiful fashion.

Breakfast & Restaurant

You also have the opportunity to start the day with a delicious breakfast and round it off with a fine dinner in our in-house restaurant. South Tyrolean specialties, as they have always been prepared in our Gsieser Tal, are on the menu.
